"My puppy, Katie, was picking up and eating things that I didn’t want her to eat. Louise came to my rescue and in one session taught me and Katie “mine and take-it”.  Now, whenever Katie looks at something she would like to pick up, I just give the “mine and take-it” cue and she’ll leave it alone. Very useful when she’s trying to collect fish bones on the beach!  Louise’s method of training is gentle and easy to follow, and stimulating for my dog who really just wants to understand what’s the right thing to do. By learning to communicate better with Katie, I’ve been able to work on getting the behaviours that I want and have a closer relationship with her."

  “Louise has done a number of training sessions with my dog Harper and I.  In the initial orientation session, Louise clearly explained positive reinforcement training using a clicker, I practiced clicker mechanics, and I learnt about capturing, shaping and cueing behaviours.  Louise then coached me as I put my training in practice by teaching Harper to “follow a finger target”.  This was a great first lesson, as Harper learnt very quickly to target and recognise a cue, and it was a lot of fun!  Harper and I also did virtual training sessions with Louise using Zoom. I found the “wait at a boundary” virtual lesson particularly useful as Harper learnt to wait at a location until cued to come.  Now when I am walking Harper, I have piece of mind that she’ll wait and not cross the road until I cue her."

  “Louise did some training with my partner and I and our two Shar Pei’s, Pablo and Coco. 

I live in Perth, so Louise did the training sessions virtually using Zoom. We each had a dog with in a  different place in our house, and Louise taught each of us separately. The virtual training worked really well.

Louise’s teaching was very clear and easily to follow. She demonstrated and taught the fundamentals of positive reinforcement, clicker training, and capturing, shaping and cueing. We worked on teaching our dogs “mine and take it”.  We now feel a lot more comfortable walking our dogs knowing that they can leave things that we don’t them want to pick up.

We were very happy with the skills Louise taught us. Louise is so passionate about dog behaviour. She has an exceptional world of knowledge and is always helpful in assisting with my behavioural or food questions.

It’s a shame we do not live closer, because I could tell others about the results that dog training with Louise achieves.”
